Let There be Light

The lighting in a home is a huge part of creating a warm, cozy feel while sticking to the overall decor scheme you have in mind. When choosing the lighting for the new house, I wanted a french country feel with a modern twist obvious in the details. I found the Pottery Barn collection of lighting when browsing Pintrest, and unlike that DIY dinosaur shaped cake that came out looking like a mound of soggy diapers, this Pintrest fine came out well.

For the kitchen island, we went with Pottery Barn Saxton pendants. We chose the coordinating 8 piece chandelier for the dining room which is an open extension off the kitchen.

Spring in the Office

There's nothing better than reaching for a floral dress and a light blazer when the first warm days of early spring roll around. Whether I'm office bound or headed to a client meeting, this look never lets me down.

                                  

New Beginnings

Happy Spring! In the months of my blogging absence, there's been a plethora of activity in my life. Some good, some bad, and a lot of chaos in between. We bought a house, sold a house, navigated some emotional downhills with family planning, and enjoyed the energy that comes with making life decisions. As we put the final touches on our new home in a new state, here are a few images of the construction progress in the 'pre-finished' stages.
