Thoughts on a Friday
Stress level should drop this weekend, while enjoying a cocktail at the Portledge Annual Auction Gala with some great friends. Before donning our black tie best, there is always the weekend to-do list:
1. Register the tot for spring swim lessons
2. Stop looking at Tumblr images from East Coast Wealth (inevitably a mood dropper)
3. Soul Cycle!
4. Wine (and a martini)
5. Hope my new iPad cover arrives because I really cant wait to see the anchor monogram
6. Send constant love and prayers to my dear friend (and initial twin) for her dad

Spring Blooms
Life has been busy. There was the week in February where both my husband and my son each had surgery, less than 12 hours apart, and each needed around the clock care for a full 3 days after. Then there was the day just last week when I traveled to our NYC office for a new client meeting, barely arrived, and received a frantic call that the tot had taken a spill, which resulted in a trip to the ER and 2 staples in his scalp under his sweet blonde curls. And there was the day we picked Tuck up from school, and knew immediately we needed to find a new preschool, which ended up requiring more paperwork that admission to the New York Bar, and cost more money than many private colleges. So overall, 2014 has been busy, expensive, and unpredictable.
But to brighten a dreary, cold March day, there is always shopping. And what better way to welcome in a new season than with a freshly colored new tote (and all the matching accessories)? The Colorfield collection from Mark and Graham hits the spot with its affordable pieces, colorful monograms, and variety of combinations.
Luckily my work sole mate, who may live across the country but feels much closer, was able to share in my new purchase joy today. Now if the UPS man would just get here already.....

Colorfield tote (Navy combo with orange monogram)
Colorfield clutch (I went with navy and an an orange monogram)
Mini iPad cover (also in navy with orange anchor + monogram)
What work bag is complete without a matching business card holder?
